TFA: the artcar 2001/08/04

Picked up a junker bug for $300 from Bugformance in Sunnyvale. We're talking no engine, no doors, well, you get the idea. $300 for wheels and suspension isn't a bad deal. It cost me $65 to have towed to my house, and it will probably cost me $100 to have it towed and crushed.

The rest of the day was spent trying to get all the suspension goodies off, cleaned, sanded and painted. Unfortunately, some of the bits weren't as solid as I thought, and others required a huge amount of cleaning. (If I can find the pictures I took of that, I'll post 'em later.)
